Today (March 5), the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) issued a news release stating that 27-year-old Shannon MacDonald was last seen around 8:20 p.m. on March 3 near Royal Columbian Hospital (330th East Columbia Street) in New Westminster.

She is described as a white female who is 163 centimetres (five-feet, four-inches) tall with a heavy build, short black hair, and green or blue eyes.

When she was last seen, she had been wearing a baby blue jacket, a grey t-shirt, blue track pants, and white runners.

Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 911.

NWPD spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Scott stated in a March 4 news release that she is known to use public transit and that anyone who sees her on the bus or SkyTrain should contact Transit Police.

She is described as an Indigenous female with a slender build who is 155 centimetres (five-feet, one-inch) tall) with shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with camouflage pants.

She has been known to visit the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver, particularly the 100 block of East Hastings Street.

Anyone who knows of the whereabouts of Biscaye is asked to call 911.

Biscaye had previously been reported missing and was located in August 2019.

In other previously announced missing person cases, the investigation into the disappearance of a 44-year-old woman from New Westminster, who allegedly left home on February 23, is continuing on. Surveillance footage found of her walking near the Queensborough Bridge in New Westminster was released on March 3.
