Family and police are concerned about a senior who disappeared after leaving his home in the Delta area and who may be experiencing confusion.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) announced today (March 12) that they are searching for 80-year-old William Geoffrey Lucas, who uses the name "Geoff".

According to the DPD, Lucas left his Tsawwassen home on foot at 11:30 a.m. on March 10.

However, he may be driving a navy 2004 BMW 325i, with significant grey primer on the roof. The license plate is DH3 26E.

He is described as a white male who is 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall with white hair and hazel eyes.

When he went missing, he was believed to be wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket with white stripes on both arms, and dark jeans.

The DPD stated that in the past, Lucas has driven to Alberta to visit family and friends without notice and he may have done to so again.

However, DPD spokesperson stated that as it has been several days since he was last in contact, his family is “becoming more and more concerned for his well-being”.

What's more, as he may be experiencing confusion or possible early stages of dementia, anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
