Surrey RCMP seek info about suspicious incident involving unknown woman leaving playground with two children

      Investigators are seeking the public's help in obtaining further information about a suspicious incident that occurred this afternoon at a school playground in Surrey.

      Surrey RCMP stated that they received a third-party report about an incident that took place around 3:15 p.m. today (March 15).

      An unknown female was alleged to have been seen approaching two children at the Coast Meridian Elementary School playground at 8222 168A Street in Surrey.

      After she briefly interacted with them, the two children walked away with her. They were last seen in the area of the 84th Avenue and 179th Street in Surrey.

      The children are described as one boy who appears to be white and around 7 years old. He was wearing a black helmet, a yellow shirt, and black sneakers and had a scooter.

      The second boy is described as appearing to be Asian and about 7 years old. He was wearing a t-shirt and had a bicycle.

      The female is described as appearing to be white and in her 30s, and had dyed silver hair in a ponytail. She was wearing brown sunglasses, a white hooded sweater, pyjama pants with a Christmas pattern, and blue sneakers.

      Surrey RCMP stated that they have not received any reports of missing people in the area.
