After a suspicious death and fire in a Metro Vancouver regional park last week, investigators are seeking to locate a missing person as they work to identify the deceased victim in this incident.

Around 6:15 p.m. on March 10, a suspicious fire and a body were located in the 4000 block of Quarry Road in Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam.

Pen Jung Tracy Chen was arrested at the scene and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) stated on March 11 that she was charged with indignity to a dead body.

Investigators are still working to confirm the identity of the victim.

IHIT had learned that 36-year-old Pen Yun Ivy Chen of Port Coquitlam was a person of importance to the case, and that her current whereabouts remain unknown.

Ivy Chen, who is the sister of Tracy Chen, was last seen on March 6 at the Canadian Tire at 2830 Bentall Street in Vancouver.

IHIT Sgt. Frank Jang stated that they are unable to verify at this point if Ivy Chen was the victim but would like to speak to anyone who had recent contact with her or has any information about her whereabouts.

Anyone with information is asked to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-4448 or by email. To remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
