RCMP recruit at family event with show of force

At an RCMP Musical Ride exhibition in Ottawa a few days ago (June 27)—usually a display of the famous mounted drill team in dress uniform—the Mounties changed the tempo a bit for the family event.

Out came a tactical SWAT team—complete with full body armour, automatic weapons, and armoured vehicles—that pursued a "suspect" in a vehicle, took him down under the cover of smoke grenades, and then "searched" for his accomplice.

An announcer, meanwhile, read a pitch for the RCMP as a career choice.

that was bizarre lol... the type of people who get fired up by this testosterone nonsense are the exact opposite of who i'd want to recruit as my local police force.

Nothing says family better than showing the violence we can bestow upon one another to the young impressionable ones we claim we love.
      Lock and load values.
There's a profit in it somewhere.
