Seven-storey building at Davie and Granville gets green light
1 of 1 2 of 1
On August 26, Vancouver’s urban-design panel gave the green light to a seven-storey mixed-use building on the northwest corner of Davie and Granville streets.
Deecorp Properties Ltd. hopes to build 94 residential units, ground-floor commercial space, and 47 underground parking stalls at the site of Tsui Hang Village Chinese Restaurant.
The project was mentioned in last week’s real-estate column. It’s scheduled to go to the city’s development permit board on October 19.

This is an outrage! Getting terrible chinese food in the early morning hours with a pot of cold tea should be protected as a cultural institution! The Bridge and Tunnel crowd surely won't let this stand.

It looks like the cops are going to have find a new place for cheap food, the late night partiers are going to have to find a new after 2:00am place to eat and drink.
This reminds me of when Bill Kee on Broadway closed....Vancouver is changing....not for the better.

I commiserate. Bill Kee was THE place for a bowl of curried beef brisket at 2 a.m.
