Steve Nash and Dana White become business pals as B.C. fitness company forms partnership with UFC Gym
UFC president Dana White and retired basketball star Steve Nash might seem like an odd pairing to most sport fans.
The brash and bombastic White has a bit of an inner Donald Trump, especially when trashing the American Kickboxing Academy.
White reportedly even has a "hate list" that includes 50 people who've enraged him over the years.
Nash, on the other hand, has a polite Canadian disposition that came from growing up in Victoria, B.C., and attending the elite St. Michaels University School.
But now, White and Nash have become connected in the business world.
SNFW Fitness B.C. Ltd., which owns and operates Steve Nash Fitness Clubs, has signed an agreement with UFC Gym®, which is licensed by White's UFC.
It means that the first UFC Gym® will open in 2016 with plans to increase the number to up to 10 locations.
There are more than 120 UFC fitness facilities in North America and Australia, which combine mixed-martial arts with fitness.
Nash's company is identifying and securing 8,000- to 10,000-square-foot locations in B.C.

new ways to kill brain cells? allright!!!
get a feeling that if getting kicked, punched and kneed in the head is something you enjoy, brain cells might not be high on your priority list.
as far as Nash getting in business with the vulgar White, Steve cares about making money,... this isnt some charitable enterprise he's running.
