With the Liberals winning or leading in more than 180 of Canada's 338 ridings, it's looking like Justin Trudeau will head a majority government.

The Conservatives are hovering close to 100, with the NDP at 29 and the Bloc Quebecois leading or winning in nine ridings.

The losers include Conservative cabinet ministers Chris Alexander and Julian Fantino and NDP MPs Peter Stoffer, Jack Harris, Megan Leslie, and Ryan Cleary.

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair is in a close fight in his Montreal-area riding of Outremont. The NDP's foreign affairs critic, Paul Dewar, is losing in Ottawa Centre to Liberal Catherine McKenna. And former NDP MP Olivia Chow has lost in her attempt at a political comeback.

Meanwhile, finance minister Joe Oliver is in a very close race against Liberal Marco Mendicino in the Toronto riding of Eglinton-Lawrence. Former Saskatchewan NDP finance minister Andrew Thompson is way back.
