A well-known Vancouver planning consultant has maintained that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's surname doesn't belong on his company's tower on West Georgia Street.

In a tweet last night, Brent Toderian declared that he continues to be "embarrassed his name has been scotch-taped to a Vancouver building".

Toderian, a former director of planning, sent his message after Trump said Muslims should not be allowed to go to the United States.

"As calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S, I seriously suggest that Vancouverites call on to remove his name," he tweeted.
