Neoliberalism is euphemism for promoting inequality
Pete Sutcliffe is absolutely right that the term neoliberal is causing a great deal of confusion [Letters, October 9-16]. We need a clear label for the world-view that holds that markets should reign supreme, that property rights should trump human rights, and that rising inequality is no bad thing. This sounds very much in line with current conservative ideology and can best be called regressive conservative.
