Vision Vancouver has raised more than $2 million in campaign contributions, according to a donors list it released today.

Corporate contributions make up the largest portion of its funds raised so far, with $1.4 million donated. Individual donations total $492,588, while the party received $320,880 in contributions from unions. The list covers donations made from January 1 to October 31 this year.

The donations from corporations include $60,000 from Aquilini Development, $40,000 from Concord Pacific, $34,500 from Rize Alliance Properties, $55,000 from Wesgroup Properties, $15,000 from Wall Financial, $26,000 from Rennie Marketing Systems, and $15,000 from Westbank Corp.

The Charles F. White Corporation, Holborn Holdings and Magnum Projects each made $75,000 contributions, while MCL Motors and RPMG Holdings both donated $50,000. Several corporations made $10,000 donations, including Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and New Oakridge Investment, and various donors gave $25,000, including Renewal Partners, Solterra, and Cactus Restaurants.

Other large contributions include $53,000 from the Vancouver Taxi Association and $45,000 from Amacon Management Services Corp.

Several numbered companies are also listed as contributors, including one $15,000 donation from 0926217 BC Ltd.

The B.C. division of CUPE gave the largest donation to Vision, at $152,000, while other labour contributions include $40,000 from CUPE Local 15, $34,000 from CUPE Local 1004, and $30,000 from the Canadian Labour Congress.

The largest individual donation is $100,000 from David Aisenstat, who according to a securities filing in 2011 owns the Charles F. White Corporation. Other individual donations include $39,200 from Dean Alexander, and $37,500 from Chip Wilson.

The release of donors and contribution amounts comes after the NPA announced last week that it would release a list of its campaign donors. The NPA is expected to issue the list by Friday (November 7).

The Vancouver Greens, the Coalition of Progressive Electors and OneCity have also made their campaign donation lists public. The Greens have raised $46,387 so far, while OneCity has collected $47,286. COPE released a list this week detailing $60,114 in donations from this year.

And RPMG Holdings should be listed under developers since it's essentially an Omni company.

Is the NPAs. Apparently it's coming tomorrow. You know, if Kirk doesn't need to commission a study on it first.

Doesn't Bob Rennie's $25,000 per plate lunch count in this?

There you have it folks: big developers and the city workers' big union. That's who Vision is beholden to. Where are residents in this equation?

It's amazing to see how much unions and developers are willing to donate, mostly because they are the ones who benefit the most.

I'm no fan of Vision, NPA or even COPE, but I think the power developers have in this city is going way too far.

Wow. What an enlightening list of donors and a complete proof of WHO owns the city and WHICH party is the developer party.

I simply do not believe for a second that 1.4 Million from developer industry, 350K from Unions and 100K from Keg restaurant does NOT buy them favors by Vision. It's so clear cut in front of everyone, and yet Vision supporters are in denial and Gregor follows this report by a lawsuit for "defamation of character" for calling out the Union donation?!?! WHAT A CROCK!

People GET OUT TO VOTE these corrupt folks out. Divide up the votes between various candidates to satisfy anyone's political appetite. Enough is enough!

      @AlexB

You're only now realizing that entities that donate to political parties do so in order to bring the best possible outcome for their agenda's? If you donate to a party aren't you doing so in order to help them get elected and enact policies that benefit you, even if they are only philosophical in nature?

That's how politics works. That's how life works. Perhaps with social media there will be less need for expensive ad campaigns and donations can capped so that each party will have the same chance for success and their platforms will be the only factor in an election. But then that would make me even more naive than you.

BTW you're insistence that we follow your election strategy is against the basic principles of democracy. You are corrupt to the core.
