More than two months after an elderly man was assaulted in Stanley Park, police are showing grainy images of a person of interest.

A video reveals a man walking with a limp in the park near the time an 82-year-old was injured north of Brockton Oval.

The assault victim was found in the driver's seat of his grey 2011 Toyota Corolla after 2 a.m. on November 16.

He remains in hospital, according to a police news release.

The man in the video is wearing a light-coloured sports coat, dark pants, and white shoes.

He's seen walking toward the seawall from the totem poles.

“It’s not clear what role, if any, he played in the assault,” VPD spokesperson Const. Jason Doucette said. “We believe someone is going to recognize him from the video, and we need them to call us and help solve this mystery.”

This video was released by the Vancouver Police Department.
