TransLink updates list of bus routes disrupted by snowy and icy road conditions

      All public postsecondary institutions with the exception of University of the Fraser Valley are open after a snowy weekend.

      But some students relying on bus service may face hassles getting to classes.

      Because of icy and snowy road conditions, TransLink has announced the following detours to local bus routes "until further notice":

      North Vancouver

      236 Via Marine, Capilano both directions. Omit Mckay, 22 St.

      247 Vancouver Remains on Capilano Road Omit Clements, Cliffridge, Montroyal.

      TriCities

      183 From Pinetree Way at David via David Johnson, Panorama then regular route.

      186 Via continue Robson, Johnson, David, Pinetree Way regular route.

      187 Via Johnson L Panorama L Parkway Boulevard regular route

      169 Braid Omit Riverview (icy road)

      152 Coquitlam From Austin/Hickey then Austin, Mariner regular route. Service will omit Blue Mountain & Rochester.

      152 Lougheed Via Mariner, Austin regular route. Service will omit Blue Mountain & Rochester.

      Surrey

      C71 Via 112 Avenue, King George, Bridgeview, 128 both directions.

      TransLink has reported that the SkyTrain is operating normally this morning if they live in the Tri-Cities.

      But there's are disruptions on the West Coast Express, with Train 1 delayed by a half hour due to a switch issue at the Pitt River Bridge.

      Train 2 is expected to be 10 minutes late.

      Meanwhile, B.C. Ferries service is operating normally with no cancelled sailings this morning.
