Crown lays murder charge in death of Japanese student Natsumi Kogawa
William Schneider, 49, has been charged with second-degree murder in addition to an earlier charge of committing an indignity to a human body.
It's in connection with the death of Japanese national Natsumi Kogawa, who was studying English in Vancouver.
On September 28, her body was discovered on the grounds of a mansion near the corner of Davie and Nicola streets in the West End.
Kogawa had been missing for three weeks prior to her death.
Her friends created a Facebook page as part of a public campaign to find her.
Schneider was arrested in Vernon on September 28.
