B.C.'s prosecution service has laid three more charges against a former senior Vancouver police officer.

Today, the Ministry of Justice announced that det.-cst. (retired) Jim Fisher will face two additional counts of sexual assault and one additional charge of breach of trust.

It comes in connection with allegations about his conduct with a witness in a criminal case.

Late last year, six charges were laid against Fisher, who was working at that time with the VPD's counter exploitation unit.

"As these matters continue before the court, the Prosecution Service is unable to release additional information or comment further at this time," the ministry stated in a news release.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Fisher retired from the force in January.

He's due to appear in Surrey Provincial Court on Tuesday (May 30).
