Man bites police dog before being taken into custody by Surrey RCMP
There have been several news stories in recent years about police dogs biting suspects.
But in a strange twist, the suspect bit the dog following a police chase in Surrey, according to the RCMP.
It came after the Mounties were called to the 3200 block of 176th Street on Sunday evening after a man was seen pushing a wheelbarrow away from a burning truck.
He then broke into a home and demanded keys to a vehicle before fleeing.
The burned-out truck is suspected to be linked to break-and-enters in Maple Ridge, including one in which a man was beaten so badly that he's in a coma.
A 37-year-old man of no fixed address was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
