Vancouver Rape Relief calls for taking #MeToo campaign to the next level

      The top-trending hashtag on Twitter this morning in Vancouver is #MeToo.

      And in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, it's helping to reveal the extent of sexual assault occurring across North America.

      First it was Hollywood stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie who spoke up.

      Now, that's being followed by regular women, some of whom are naming names and some who aren't.

      In the meantime, Hilla Kerner of Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter has some words of advice.

      "We need to be mindful not to leave it at that," Kerner said in a news release. "We need to take it to the next level, to come together as women and to transform the power relationships between men and women in our society."
