A second North Shore mountain will welcome skiers on Friday (November 10).

Grouse Mountain has announced that it will open "limited terrain" from 3 p.m. that day and every other weekday going forward from then, and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

The sliding zone will also open on Grouse Mountain.

This means that winter-sports enthusiasts will have access to Paradise, the Cut to mid-station, the Paradise Rookie Park, and the Cut Terrain Park.

Regular admission applies for day snow tickets, and all Y2Play and 2017-18 Early Bird passes will be honoured.

In addition, Grouse Mountain has opened its mountaintop skating pond from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Earlier this week, Cypress Mountain announced that it will welcome winter warriors on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This marks the earliest that the company operating the West Vancouver resort has opened for skiing and snowboarding in its 33-year history.
