Burnaby RCMP investigates fatal hit and run involving motorcyclist

      A motorcyclist did not survive being rear-ended on Saturday (June 19) night at the intersection of Canada Way and Imperial Street.

      It occurred around 9:45 p.m.

      The suspect is believed to have been driving a black Honda Accord, which was found a couple of hours after the crash.

      According to Global B.C. News, the car's bumper fell off with its licence plate intact.

      "This is a very tragic incident that has not only taken a life, but will affect countless individuals," Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in a news release. "If you can assist us in our investigation, please come forward and contact the Burnaby RCMP."
