An undersea earthquake struck off the West Coast of Vancouver Island late last night.
It occurred at 11:12 p.m. on September 20.
Earthquakes Canada measured it as a 4.0-magnitude quake while the U.S. Geological Survey reported it as 4.3-magnitude.
At a depth of 18 kilometres (11 miles), the epicentre was located 208 kilometres (129 miles) southwest of Port Alice, 313 kilometres (194 miles) southwest of Campbell River, 434 kilometres (270 miles) west of Victoria, and 447 kilometres (278 miles) west of Vancouver.
Earthquakes Canada stated that this temblor wasn't reported as felt.
