Vancouver emergency responders were called to a grisly motor-vehicle crash this morning.

Police believe that a Toyota Corolla was speeding northbound on Granville Street shortly after 6 a.m. when it sideswiped a taxi, struck a Porsche, and flew over a truck before landing on a Hyundai Elantra.

The collisions occurred near the intersection with West 46th Avenue. The driver of the Corolla died at the scene.

The Hyundai and Porsche drivers suffered injuries that required hospitalization. The taxi driver and his fare were not injured.

Police are hoping to speak to witnesses or anyone with dash-cam video along Granville Street between West 50th and West 46th avenues this morning.

That area of Granville was closed to traffic for several hours this morning.
