Health Canada has announced that it is recalling a glass baking dish because of an injury hazard.

The product, a Paderno 1.6-litre glass square baking dish with lid, can break when exposed to a sudden temperature change, the federal agency said in a July 5 release.

Four reports of breakage have been received by Health Canada as of June 28, the bulletin said. No injuries were reported.

Consumers who bought the product (available at Canadian Tire) should return it to the point of purchase for a refund or exchange, the agency said. It also noted that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the sale, resale, or giving away of any recalled product.

If it is impractical to travel to a Canadian Tire store, purchasers can phone toll-free at 1-800-387-8803; the line will be open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (EST), and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST).
