Homicide investigators say that Mehdi “Damien” Eslahian, 37, is the man recently murdered in the Tri-Cities Area.

His body was found by Coquitlam RCMP in a home in the 2700 block of Davies Avenue in Port Coquitlam early Thursday (June 30) morning.

Officers had responded to reports of shots being fired.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team later said that the shooting appears to have been targeted.

However, there's no indication that the murder is linked to any gang conflicts.
