International Women's Day: Georgia Straight Talks

Misogyny against politicians is a growing problem in parliamentary democracies around the world

      This week's edition of Georgia Straight Talks focuses on the magnitude of misogyny directed at female politicians from British Columbia.

      We talked to three MPs—Hedy Fry, Jenny Kwan, and Elizabeth May—as well as Vancouver councillors Melissa De Genova and Christine Boyle.

      And in advance of International Women's Day on Monday (March 8), it was shocking to hear the types of abuse that they've encountered while trying to do their jobs.
