Investigation into mystery of 39-year-old Chilliwack man found murdered

      Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in determining why a 39-year-old man was murdered in the Fraser Valley.

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) stated that at 11:36 p.m. on March 19, the body of Stuart Schellenberg was located in his home in the 9400 block of Chapman Road in Chilliwack.

      First responders determined that his death was a homicide.

      IHIT is working with Chilliwack RCMP, forensic identification services, and the B.C. Coroners Service in gathering evidence.

      IHIT Sgt. Frank Jang stated in a news release that the murder of Schellenberg isn’t believed to be random and also isn't believed to be gang-related.
