Investigation underway into suspicious circumstances of unidentified human remains discovered north of Yale, B.C.

      Unidentified human remains have been found in the Fraser Canyon region.

      Upper Fraser Valley RCMP stated that around 1:45 p.m. on May 26, Boston Bar RCMP responded to a report about a body located off Highway 1 north of Yale, B.C.

      Officers confirmed that the remains of a deceased individual at the location, and the area was cordoned off as evidence was gathered.

      Hope RCMP, the B.C. Coroners Service, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) are working on an investigation into the death of this individual, which is being deemed suspicious.

      No further details are being issued at this time.
