Vancouver police have arrested a 61-year-old man in connection with the city's seventh homicide in 2022.

Charges have not been laid and the suspect's name has not been released.

The victim, 56-year-old Scott Carver, was assaulted near East 1st Avenue and Main Street around 4:30 p.m. on June 2.

Carver later died of his injuries in hospital, according to a VPD news release.

Investigators believe that Carver knew the suspect.
