Nanaimo RCMP are seeking to locate a female teenager who is believed to be with a male adult from Vancouver and may be in the Lower Mainland.

On March 27, Nanaimo RCMP announced a search for 17-year-old Mary Cyprich, who was believed to be in the company of 36-year-old Force Forsythe.

She was last seen when she left her home in Nanaimo around 8 p.m. on March 26 and hasn’t been heard from since. She had been reported missing immediately.

Nanaimo RCMP provided an update on March 29, stating that Cyprich and Forsythe were discovered not to be travelling in the 2007 Ford Bronco as originally thought—the vehicle in question was located in a storage facility at an unspecified location.

It remains unknown what vehicle they may be using.

Cyprich is described as a non-white female who is 163 centimetres (five-feet, four-inches) tall and weighs 45 kilograms (100 pounds). She has long black hair.

She had been last seen wearing a black t-shirt with “Rotary” on the front, a black leather jacket, and grey Puma socks. She had left home without shoes.

Forsythe is described as a white male who is 178 (five-feet, 10-inches) tall and weighs 91 kilograms (200 pounds). He has short blond hair and blue eyes, and he has several tattoos, including one on his right arm of a W in a crown and another on his right forearm spelling ULTIO.

He lives in the Vancouver area.

Investigators believe they may have left Nanaimo and traveled either to Vancouver or the Sunshine Coast.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cyprich or Forsythe is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, or the nearest RCMP detachment or municipal police agency.
