Update: The Vancouver Police Department stated today (January 25) that Edward Cheney has been located and is safe.

      Original article (January 24):

Outreach workers and police are seeking to locate a 58-year-old man who has not been seen for the past three days.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) issued a news release today (January 24) stating that they are searching for Edward Cheney, who was last seen leaving from his home located near East Hastings and Main streets at 9 a.m. on January 21.

The VPD stated that he may suffer from dementia.

He is described as a white male who is 185 centimetres (six-feet, one-inch) tall with a medium build, blue eyes, and grey hair.

At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a blue t-shirt, black nylon track pants, and a grey baseball cap. He wasn’t seen wearing a jacket.

He is believed to be on foot, and his disappearance is out of character.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 and remain with him until first responders arrive.
