The Mounties have another public-relations problem on their hands.

And it comes as a result of a violent arrest that's been videotaped from two angles.

In the first images, which were made public by Castanet earlier this week, a cop can be seen running out of his patrol vehicle to assist two other RCMP officers who are detaining a suspect.

The officer is seen punching the suspect in the face.

New video surfaced yesterday on CBC TV from a different angle.

Former professional baseball player Tyson Gillies captured the incident from the rooftop of a nearby restaurant.

This video lasts longer, revealing that the suspect was punched at least 10 times.

The unnamed officer is now the subject of an internal investigation.

Sgt. Brent Mundle told reporters earlier this week that the suspect was intoxicated and uncooperative.
