North Delta stabbing incident in Gunderson Park not linked to gang conflicts
One victim suffered serious, nonlife-threatening injuries, according to Delta police
An early-morning stabbing in Gunderson Park is being called an "isolated, targeted incident" by Delta police.
One person suffered serious, nonlife-threatening injuries, whereas another has what's believed to be a minor injury.
No names have been released.
“The suspect has been located and arrested and is currently in police custody,” Delta police spokesperson Sgt. James Sandberg said in a news release.
Officers were called to the park at 7630 117th Street in North Delta just after 4 a.m.
It's not believed to be linked to gang conflicts in Metro Vancouver, nor is the general public at risk.
The park is currently open to the public.
