You’ve probably heard about dragon-boating but do you know of its history and what it’s all about?

If you don't, the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival have teamed up to present an exhibit that tells the history and the story of the sport.

From its arrival in B.C. during Expo 86 to the present day, Paddles Up! The Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Exhibit presents an array of artifacts (including two full-sized dragon boats), stories from diverse athletes, and the cultural heritage of the sport that originated in China.

The exhibit launched on Lunar New Year (February 12) and will continue on until May 31 at the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame and Museum (located at Gate A of B.C. Place Stadium).

To purchase a ticket (scheduled for specific entry times), visit the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame website.
