Partial human remains discovered in wooded area in Surrey

      An investigation has been launched after possible human remains were found yesterday evening in Surrey.

      Surrey RCMP announced today (September 21) that around 5 p.m. on September 20, a member of the public reported discovering what appeared to be partial human remains in a wooded area near the 8000 block of 148A Street in Surrey.

      Surrey RCMP is working with the B.C. Coroners Service to investigate the remains and its origins.

      Officers are currently conducting a search of the surrounding area and canvassing the area.
