Wine cellars have become a standard feature in many luxury homes in Greater Vancouver.

These amenities serve as showpieces that exude taste, class, and sophistication.

As a result, they add value to the property.

A lot of listings include mentions of wine cellars in order to attract the attention of upscale buyers.

One such offering on the market is 3370 Craigend Road in West Vancouver.

The luxury home features an exposed rock wine cellar with a stream flowing inside.

      The property is asking $9,498,000.

“The whole home is built into the bedrock itself,” listing agent Polly Reitze told the Straight in a phone interview.

Reitze explained that the wine cellar is at the bottom level of the “reverse-plan” residence.

The upper level has the living room, dining area, and kitchen. The middle level contains the master’s bedroom, and laundry and storage rooms.

Down at the third level is the wine cellar and three more ensuited bedrooms.

“For anyone who enjoys nice wine, it would be a wonderful entertaining room,” Reitze said about the West Vancouver real estate’s wine cellar.

The Straight looked at some listings that mention wine cellars or rooms and came up with these examples below.
