Police announce second-degree murder charge in connection with homicide in CRAB Park

      An assault turned deadly on Saturday (May 7) morning in CRAB Park.

      When police arrived on the scene around 10:20 a.m., they found a 45-year-old man, Andrew Wadden, suffering life-threatening injuries.

      B.C. Ambulance and Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service staff tried to save his life, but he died at the scene.

      In a news release this afternoon (May 8), Vancouver police say that Eric Kim, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder.

      The allegation against Kim has not been tested in court.

      It's Vancouver's fourth homicide of 2022.

      Update

      On May 10, Vancouver police announced that a second suspect, 18-year-old David Bentill, has also been charged with second-degree murder.
