A 25-year-old man was critically injured early this morning in a stabbing incident in downtown Vancouver.

It happened in the Granville Entertainment District on the first weekend without COVID-19 capacity restrictions.

Large crowds gathered in the area, leading to multiple conflicts, according to Vancouver police.

A 21-year-old man from Surrey has been arrested in the stabbing. 

No names have been released.
