Police rely on spotlights from the air and water to clear English Bay of large crowds
For the second consecutive night, Vancouver police relied on spotlights to disperse people from Vancouver beaches last night.
Marine and air units were dispatched.
The vast majority of partiers complied and departed.
However, some of the revellers allegedly threw bottles at officers, according to CBC News.

When an RCMP helicopter flew over English Bay on Friday night, some West End residents were under the impression that police were searching for criminals.
In fact, the goal was simply to clear the beach.
