Nearly five months after the B.C. election, Premier John Horgan is still flying high in the minds of most voters.

An Angus Reid poll released this morning shows that he has the highest approval rating of nine premiers surveyed.

Horgan scored 66 percent in the poll, four percentage points ahead of Quebec's François Legault. Ranking third is Saskatchewan's Scott Moe at 57 percent, followed by New Brunswick's Blaine Higgs at 54 percent and Ontario's Doug Ford at 50 percent.

Horgan's high rating occurred even though the cost of the Site C hydroelectric dam has ballooned to $16 billion.

The lowest-ranking premier was Nova Scotia's Iain Rankin at 31 percent. He only recently assumed office after winning the provincial Liberal party's leadership race.

Two high-profile former Conservative MPs, Alberta's Jason Kenney and Manitoba's Brian Pallister, are at 39 percent and 36 percent, respectively.
