Capt. Jenn Casey of Halifax identified as member of Snowbirds who died in Kamloops plane crash

      Update: A public affairs officer with the Snowbirds, Capt. Jenn Casey, did not survive the crash, according to the Canadian Armed Forces. The Halifax woman is a former journalist who joined the military in 2014. The pilot, Capt. Richard MacDougall, has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

      First responders are still on the scene in Kamloops where a Canadian Air Force Snowbird plan crashed into a house.

      RCMP say they're unable to confirm the status of the injuries. The residence is on Glenview Avenue in the North Shore area of the city.

      The video below shows the plane veering out of control as it descended to the ground.

      Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan tweeted that he's deeply saddened by the crash.
