Undersea earthquake hits off Oregon coast on April 26

      An offshore earthquake just struck off the coast of Oregon this afternoon.

      It hit at 3:33 p.m. today (April 26) at a depth of 10 kilometres (six miles).

      The U.S. Geological Survey measured it as a 4.1-magnitude quake.

      The epicentre was located 377 kilometres (234 miles) northwest of Barview, Oregon; 384 kilometres (238 miles) northwest of Coos Bay, Oregon; and 471 kilometres (292 miles) southwest of Salem, Oregon.
