The penthouse at The Ritz in Coal Harbour has sold after more than a year on the market.

The two-storey Vancouver condo property went to a new owner for $7,350,000.

Malcolm Hasman, a top-selling luxury property agent, listed the 3801-1211 Melville Street apartment, which includes an exclusive rooftop swimming pool.

“It’s a spectacular feature, you know, especially during COVID,” Hasman told the Straight by phone Monday (September 13) about the pool.

Hasman noted that nobody else can use the swimming pool except residents of the penthouse.

“You don’t have to share the pool with anybody,” he said.

Hasman, a partner with luxury property firm Angell Hasman Associates, also related that only a few penthouse properties in Vancouver have their own swimming pools.

Tracking by real-estate site Zealty.ca indicates that the 12-year-old property was reported sold on September 9 after the deal was done on August 23.

The two-bedroom, four-bath downtown condo was listed on August 17, 2020, and spent 371 days on the market.

Zealty tracking shows that the apartment had an original asking price of $8,980,000.

The price was later reduced to $7,880,000.

The property has a 2021 assessment of $6,357,000.

The Ritz penthouse property offers 360-degree views of the city.
