Vancouver has recorded its third homicide of 2022.

In the early morning of May 1, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in a building near Ontario Street and 1st Avenue.

When they arrived, they found a 51-year-old woman dead inside an apartment.

She had suffered fatal stab wounds.

A 51-year-old man was arrested but no charge has been laid.

Police believe that the victim and the suspect knew each other.

No names have been released.
