Nearly two days after a Vancouver woman went missing, police have issued a statement seeking the public's assistance.

Christiane “Chris” Rohr's disappearance is "out of character". She went out for a walk around 5 p.m. on January 3, but never returned to her home on Three Cedars Drive.

“VPD investigators are working closely with Ms. Rohr’s family and friends to find out where she went and why she has not been seen,” Sgt. Steve Addison said in the statement. “We are all concerned for her safety, and we’re asking anyone who has seen her since Monday to call 9-1-1 immediately.”

There are many trails in the area.

Rohr is 5'4" with a medium build and light brown and grey hair, which is often in a bun. She was last seen in a three-quarter-length Helly Hansen jacket with reflective grey and silver. She had a red jacket underneath and was wearing a toque and black pants.

Anyone who sees her is being urged to call 9-1-1 and remain with her until help arrives.
