Motivated sellers often reduce asking prices so their property will sell.

The seller of a Vancouver home originally listed for $2,999,000 is a different story.

The owner of the two-storey-with-basement residence in the Marpole area wants $4 million more.

And so the price of 1628 Southwest Marine Drive has been increased to $6,999,000.

The 10-bedroom, seven-bath property came on the market on April 1.

The original $2,999,000 listing price was increased to $6,999,000 two weeks later on April 15.

The price change was tracked by real-estate site Zealty.ca.

B.C. Assessment placed the 2021 value of the property at $2,784,000 as of July 1, 2020.
