Family and police on Vancouver Island are concerned about the well-being a missing 28-year-old woman who is deemed "high risk" and may be somewhere in the Lower Mainland.
On April 1, B.C. RCMP recirculated a public alert from the Victoria Police Department (VPD) that was issued on March 31.
Mariah Konchak was last seen on March 4 when she was boarding a ferry heading for the Lower Mainland.
At the time, she was accompanied by a man and a brown Dachshund. She is believed to be in the company of a man, whom the VPD did not identify.
She is described as a white female with shoulder-length dark hair. She is 168 centimetres (five-feet, six-inches) tall and weighs about 45 kilograms (100 pounds) with a slim build.
She has scars above her right eye and she may be missing a tooth.
Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911.
Anyone with information of her whereabouts is asked to call 250-995-7654. To report anonymously, call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
