Vancouver police are seeking suspects in a violent attack on a man in Emery Barnes Park.

The assault was captured on a video, which shows two men punching and kicking a man as a crowd watches.

The 44-year-old victim was hospitalized with significant facial injuries.

It occurred around 11:30 p.m. on February 20.

“While this video is troubling to watch, we have had considerable success in identifying suspects in stranger attacks," Const. Tania Visintin said in a VPD news release, "and we hope that by releasing this video someone will come forward with information that can help us identify the people responsible.”

The bystander who took the video reached out to provide it to a Vancouver police officer.

One of the suspects, a 19-year-old male from Richmond, was quickly arrested. He's since been released as the VPD gathers more information.
