West End rental tower in Vancouver sells for $52 million

      A rental tower in the vibrant West End neighbourhood of Vancouver has a new owner.

      Goodman Commercial Inc. announced Sunday (April 4) the sale of Harley House, a 21-storey concrete apartment building.

      The 1230 Nelson Street property sold for $52 million.

      According to details made available by Mark Goodman of Goodman Commercial Inc., Harley House has 107 rental suites.

      The $52 million price tag translates to $485,981 per unit.

      Goodman Commercial Inc. is a well established realty company that is famous for multifamily apartment sales, commercial properties, development sites, and land.

      Harley House was constructed in 1971.

      “The building features amazing views, elevator service, bicycle storage, tenant lockers, an indoor swimming pool, an administrative office and a suite mix comprising 97 one-bedrooms, 8 two-bedrooms and 2 two-bedroom penthouses,” according to information by Goodman Commercial Inc.

      According to the realty company, Harley House is “extraordinarily well located”.

      It is steps away from Nelson Park, and within walking distance of transit locations.

      Harley House is near pedestrian shopping areas on Robson, Denman, and Davie streets.

      “Finally, Harley House is close to the lush greenery of the world famous thousand-acre Stanley Park,” according to Goodman Commercial Inc.
