The Vancouver Cuban community is gathering on May 2nd at the WISE Hall for a unique event. Vanvanéate - a night celebrating the beloved Cuban orchestra Los Van Van and its 45 years at the heart of Cuban culture. Walking the streets of Havana, the sounds of Los Van Van are inescapable. They are the backdrop to everyday life in Cuba—the “national house band” that exemplifies the country’s struggles, humour, and vitality. Come celebrate the life, culture, and soul of Cuba with food, music and dance!
