Vancouver’s own singer-songwriter-composer Isabelle Longnus will visit the Studio 16 stage on Friday, September 25th at 8 p.m., to bring us an intimate and impassioned show from her latest album CODE BLEU.

Performed with brio and vocal power, her alternative pop-rock songs blend the themes of love, society, taboos and black humour. Produced by Marc Pérusse, a composer and lyricist who has worked with Serge Fiori and Daniel Lavoie, this album as well as the show are getting excellent reviews from the press and audiences alike, in recognition of the quality and originality of Isabelle Longnus’ compositions, the power of her renditions, and the raw energy of her performances.

A multidisciplinary artist, she has produced and performed in major cultural events here in British Columbia, in particular during the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, when she wrote and performed “Vancouver”, the official song of the Place de la Francophonie. In 2011 she also produced the show and the recording “Vancouver Symphonique”. Presented by the Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the City of Vancouver, “Vancouver Symphonique” was nominated for a Prix Rideau.
In September 2014, she won the ROSEQ prize and in February 2015, following on her showcase performance at Contact’Ouest in Edmonton, she presented her show at Place des Arts in Montreal as part of the “Série Découverte Week Ends de la chanson” sponsored by Québecor.

The album CODE BLEU has already received two nominations and has been selected to showcase at the 2015 Vitrines des Prix Gamiq awards:

- Prix Trille OR 2015: Best album from Western Canada
- WCMA - West Coast Music Awards 2015: Best francophone album of the year
- Montreal Vitrines des Prix Gamiq 2015.

This show will be Isabelle’s first performance in Vancouver in two years. Since the release of CODE BLEU, Isabelle has been touring in Canada and in Europe to present the show that marks a turning point in her career. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover Isabelle on stage, or to hear her once again.
