Come and join Popcorn Galaxies’ curated event New Narratives: an Enviro-Art Extravaganza on May 28th and 29th 2016 from 8:30pm! Featuring over 20 multi-disciplinary artists, this event challenges the current cultural narratives of climate change and explores the volatile relationship between art and environmental activism. New Narratives will be an evening of site specific dance cycling, life size terranium, roving choirs and shadow puppet installations, with each audience member invited to curate their own unique experience of the works.

Starting at SFU Woodward’s building (149 West Hastings Street) each audience member will receive a map and set out on a scavenger hunt looking for the 9 site specific pieces in Gastown. The outdoor performances will be followed by a free social gathering at the Golden Saucer Studio (Dominion Building 207 West Hastings Street) with live music and a cash bar along with a special presentation from Tallulah Winkleman (Theatre on Earth) about Wild Mind, a new community initiative by the Environmental Youth Alliance.

New Narratives is a pay what you can event and all proceeds will be donated to the Environmental Youth Alliance. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.picatic.com/newnarratives or with cash at the box office SFU Woodward’s courtyard (149 West Hastings Street, Cordova entrance).
